We love frosting our sugar cookies with the children! It’s such a fun, festive holiday activity xo
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
3 c. flour
3 tsp. milk
1 1/2 tsp. almond or vanilla (we like almond)
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Blend sugar and butter. Add other ingredients. Form dough into ball, and roll out on a floured surface. Use cookie cutters to cut-out festive shapes, and place on lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with color sugar before baking at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 5-10 minutes. OR bake plain and frost with icing.
Mix Powdered Confectioner’s Sugar, Milk and Almond or Vanilla Extract to a spreadable consistency and delicious taste. Add food coloring as desired. Frost cookies, creating your own designs and adding fun candy toppings.
