Favorite Recipes from Our Family & Friends

Sticky post

This is our Mother’s award-winning dessert. It won first prize in a local competition sponsored by Comstock and was featured in our hometown newspaper, the Warren Times Observer.

Sticky post

Dad’s Sunday morning recipe! It originally came from our next door neighbor Mary Richwalsky, who worked at The Savoy café in Warren, PA.

Raspberry Yuletide Rounds

These used to be called Yuletide Logs and shaped differently but we revisited them completely this year.

Gingerbread Cookies

Pepparkakor are Swedish ginger cookies traditionally served at Christmas time. You can frost these cookies if you want, but we like them crisp and naked.

Pumpkin Bread

Made from scratch with roast pumpkin, this bread is moist, sweet and is topped with a nutty, crunchy crust.

Afternoon Tea

We love high tea so much that we sometimes make one at home.

Vichyssoise

Also known as chilled potato leek soup. Try this version made with less cream, and stay light and cool in the heat.

Jennifer’s Potato Salad

I’ve perfected this version of potato salad over the years, and it’s all my own.

Our new favorite Grater

We found this old-school grating tool at the hippy market while on holiday.

Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowls

Try making teriyaki bowls with your salmon fillets, and top them with shishito peppers, for more foodie love.

Korean Bulgogi Beef Bowls

Everything over rice has been what we’re all about lately. These bowls are a new way to cook beef.

Bacon-wrapped Jalapeños

These jalapeño poppers are a crowd-pleaser!

Beef Bourguignon

Inspired by Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking, we accept the challenge of preparing this stew that takes four hours to make.

Papaya Parfaits

Let papayas, picked fresh from the tree, ripen, then create these yogurt parfaits.
